I was driving Chloe to her first dance recital today and she said to me, “Mom, what’s stage fright? I think I am stage fright…”
Her concert was about the Star Who Was Afraid of The Dark. She was one of the Children At Play. She wore a cute little black and green costume and danced with a hula hoop. She came out on stage and was so darling. She was so concerned about making sure she was in sync with the other dancers that I don’t think she looked out at the audience one time!
After the show she was so excited to see her 2 aunts who had come to see her and her cousins! When we got home she re-enacted her entire part for her dad (only instead of a hula hoop she used my Yoga ball and instead of playing her part she was the big helper girl’s part) Dad, of course kept asking questions trying to confuse her- but in true Chloe style she was so determined to deliver the performance with such an attentive audience, she refused to let him waiver her.
